'Ocotillo' Red Blend, 2024

Texas High Plains, 2024 — Vinovium Flagship Wine

This Tuscan-inspired red blend represents the heart of Vinovium and our longest consecutively produced wine. Crafted from 50% Sangiovese, 40% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2024 vintage highlights the savory depth and balance of the Texas High Plains.

Aromas of sour cherry, dried red plum, and cranberry lead, followed by leather, dried herbs, and subtle baking spice. The palate is medium-plus in body with moderate acidity, showing savory red fruit, soft cocoa, and gentle earth tones. Merlot brings roundness and approachability, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure and lift. The finish is moderate to lengthy, clean and composed, with fine tannins and lingering notes of cherry skin and cedar. Bottled at 13.9% ABV.
