Dry Rosé, Texas, 2019/20
An incredibly pleasant rose that delivers freshness and a riper fruit character. While this wine enjoyable and a true crowd pleaser it tells a bigger story. Being a blend from multiple vintages, this wine gives credence to the two back-to-back difficult vintages for rose, and young vines in general due to extreme weather in August, September and October of 2019, and early Spring frost in April/May of 2020. The ability to create harmony in a wine from multiple vintages is no trivial task and speaks to the expertise of Benedicte. This rose is bursting with fresh red berry and melon fruit character and welcoming and softly structured palate.
